The CS1942DP is a 2-port DisplayPort KVM switch that lets a single USB keyboard and mouse control two dual-display DisplayPort systems. It supports dual-monitor setups and provides simultaneous access to multiple computers using one console – keyboard, mouse and two DisplayPort monitors. The unit is designed for desktop and workstation environments where space and streamlined control are essential.
Key capabilities include dual-display support via DisplayPort, native 4K resolution at 60 Hz, and an integrated USB 3.1 Gen1 hub delivering SuperSpeed up to 5 Gbps. It supports MST for multi-stream transport and DisplayPort Dual-Mode (DP++) for adapter flexibility. Computer selection is available through front-panel buttons, hotkeys, mouse switching and RS-232 commands.
Video performance reaches 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz to preserve image fidelity for high-resolution workflows. HD audio is supported over DisplayPort though audio switching is tied to the video path. The built-in USB hub supports high-speed peripherals and large file transfers to accelerate multimedia tasks.
Connectivity includes two DisplayPort console outputs, four DisplayPort computer ports, USB3.1 Gen1 Type B computer connectors, two USB Type A console ports, and 3.5 mm audio jacks for mic and speaker channels. A daisy-chain RJ-45 port allows quad-display configurations by linking two units. Power is provided via a single DC jack and the unit supports firmware upgrades for future enhancements.
The CS1942DP is suitable for design studios, financial trading desks and video post-production where simultaneous access to multiple systems and lossless 4K display are required. Its independent switching of KVM, USB and audio streams simplifies multi-tasking and resource sharing across systems.
