The CS1784A is a 4-port USB DVI Dual Link KVMP switch that centralizes control of multiple computers from a single USB DVI console. It integrates a 2-port USB 2.0 hub and 2.1 surround audio support to simplify multi-system workflows. The unit supports DVI digital and analog monitors and is HDCP compatible to maintain secure digital video streams.
Key capabilities include independent switching of KVM, USB and audio focus, support for DVI Dual Link resolutions up to 2560 x 1600, and a built-in USB hub for two additional devices. The switch offers multiple selection methods – front panel pushbuttons, configurable hotkeys and mouse-driven switching – and includes Video DynaSync – an ATEN feature that preserves optimal video timing when switching. It also supports nVidia 3D Vision 120Hz displays and active shutter glasses for 3D applications.
Performance specifications include DVI Dual Link 2560 x 1600 at 60Hz and Single Link 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz. The audio path supports full bass response for 2.1 channel surround sound and the unit is HDCP compatible for protected content. Connectivity is comprehensive: DVI-I and USB console ports, four sets of DVI-I and USB Type B KVM ports, and stereo mini jacks for audio in/out. The console features a two-port USB 2.0 hub with front and rear Type A ports to attach storage or input devices. Multiplatform support covers Windows, Linux, Mac and Sun, and the keyboard/mouse emulation supports gaming and multimedia keyboards plus multifunction mice.
