The CS1762A is a 2-port DVI KVMP switch that lets a single USB console control two DVI-enabled computers. It integrates a two-port USB 2.0 hub and supports both digital and analog DVI-I displays. This product is designed to streamline multi-system control in desktop and light production environments.
Key features include USB 2.0 hub functionality, DVI-I video support up to 1920 x 1200, HDCP compatibility and ATEN Video DynaSync technology. The unit provides independent switching of KVM, USB and audio focus and supports automatic power-on detection to select the next active host. Console selection is via front-panel pushbuttons, hotkeys or mouse switching and it supports Auto Scan Mode for system monitoring.
Performance specifications include support for widescreen resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and full USB 2.0 compliance for peripheral connectivity. Audio is supported with full bass response for 2.1 channel systems and keyboard/mouse emulation ensures error-free booting. Power consumption is DC5.3V, 9.0W and scan interval is user adjustable between 1 and 99 seconds with a default of 5 seconds.
Connectivity options consist of DVI-I connectors for video, USB Type A and Type B ports for console and KVM links, and stereo mini jacks for audio input and output. The built-in USB hub provides two rear USB Type A ports for shared peripherals on a one-computer-at-a-time basis. Multiplatform support includes Windows, Linux, Mac and Sun with Mac/Sun keyboard emulation features and multilingual keyboard mapping.
Typical applications include single-console control of dual workstations, small broadcast control desks, engineering benches and administrative stations where two PCs must be accessed from one monitor and one set of input devices. The CS1762A also suits AV scenarios requiring HDCP and DVI-I compatibility while sharing USB peripherals. Its integrated hub and audio support simplify desktop cabling and device management.
