The CS1734B is a 4-port USB VGA KVM switcher that consolidates keyboard, video, mouse and peripheral control into a single console. It enables one operator to access four computers from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse while also providing a built-in 2-port USB 2.0 hub. The unit supports both PS/2 and USB systems and simplifies multi-system management in technical environments.
Multiple selection methods are provided – front-panel pushbuttons, hotkey commands, multilingual OSD and mouse switching provide instant access to any connected computer. The device supports independent switching of KVM, USB and audio focus to match user workflows. Integrated features include full keyboard emulation, mouse emulation/bypass for multifunction mice and Auto Scan mode for monitoring connected systems.
Video performance supports up to 2048 x 1536 at 60Hz with DDC2B compliance and Video DynaSync to store EDID information and optimize display resolution. USB 2.0 compliance ensures connected peripherals operate at standard data rates while console audio supports 2.1 surround sound for richer media playback. The CS1734B consumes DC5.3V at 3.4W and includes firmware upgrade capability to ensure long-term feature updates.
Connectivity is comprehensive – front-panel console ports include two USB Type-A ports, an HDB-15 VGA port and stereo audio jacks for mic and speakers. Each of the four KVM ports uses SPHD-15 connectors plus stereo audio jacks and the unit provides two rear USB Type-A hub ports for additional peripherals. The switcher is platform agnostic with support for Windows, Mac and Sun systems and Sun/Mac keyboard emulation where applicable.
This KVM switcher is suitable for broadcast control rooms, server racks, production suites and shared multimedia workstations where consolidated access reduces desk clutter and speeds operator tasks. Console audio jacks on the front panel provide easy access for IP phone or headset users and the independent USB hub allows shared devices such as external drives or input devices.
