The CS1732B is a compact 2-port KVM switcher that lets a single keyboard, monitor and mouse control two computers. It integrates a 2-port USB 2.0 hub and delivers stereo plus subwoofer 2.1 audio support. The unit provides multiple selection methods including front panel pushbuttons, hotkeys, OSD and mouse switching for immediate access.
Key features include dual USB console ports, a built-in USB 2.0 hub, and full 2.1 surround audio pass-through. The switcher supports dual keyboard/mouse interfaces (PS/2 and USB) and emulation for complete keyboard and mouse compatibility. Video DynaSync stores EDID to optimize display resolution and reduce monitor re-detection issues when switching.
Performance supports VGA resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 at 60Hz with DDC2B compliance and widescreen modes. The CS1732B provides independent switching of KVM, USB and audio focus and offers console mouse port emulation or bypass for advanced mice. Scan interval and auto-scan functions allow monitoring of connected systems at configurable intervals.
Connectivity includes front-panel console ports for easy access and rear SPHD-15 KVM connectors for each computer. Console I/O comprises USB Type-A, HDB-15 and dedicated audio jacks for microphone and speaker. The integrated USB hub provides two downstream USB Type-A ports for shared peripherals.
Typical use cases include IT administration of dual workstations, broadcast control rooms requiring quick system switching, and small production desks that need consolidated USB peripheral sharing and audio routing. It supports multiple platforms including Windows, Mac and Sun environments. Sun and Mac keyboard support and emulation are included to preserve function-key mappings across platforms.
The CS1732B is metal housed for rack or desktop use and requires no software for installation, enabling fast deployment. Firmware is upgradeable and LEDs provide clear status of online and USB link conditions.
