The CL6708MW is a single-rail 1U LCD KVM switcher that integrates a 17.3in LED-backlit Full HD LCD, keyboard and touchpad into a compact rack drawer. It provides direct control of eight DVI single-link computers and can be cascaded to manage up to 64 systems. The unit is designed to deliver clean digital video and simplified multi-server management in space-constrained racks.
Key features include native DVI support, YUV video format compatibility, and HDCP compliance for protected content playback. The integrated 17.3in panel supports 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz video and DDC2B for consistent monitor reporting. ATEN Video DynaSync optimizes video timing and prevents boot-up display issues when switching between ports.
Performance highlights include full HD 1080p resolution at 60 Hz, 8 ms response time, 300 cd/m2 luminance and a 650:1 contrast ratio on the LCD module. The KVM supports USB keyboard/mouse emulation and delivers stable signal handling for digital sources. Power consumption is approximately 29 W depending on input voltage and the unit operates in standard data center temperature ranges.
Connectivity consists of 8 DVI-I KVM ports, 8 USB Type A device connections, and 8 mini stereo audio jacks for speaker support. An external console port offers DVI video, two USB Type A ports and a mini stereo jack for local control, and a firmware upgrade port is provided via RJ-11. Front-panel pushbuttons, OSD and hotkeys enable fast port selection and management.
The CL6708MW is suited to control rooms, broadcast racks, education labs and corporate server closets where digital video fidelity and secure media playback are required. Broadcast mode allows simultaneous command transmission to all connected computers to perform group operations. Multiplatform support covers Windows, Linux, Mac and Sun environments for broad interoperability.
The unit features a metal and plastic housing, adjustable depth for rack fitting, an integrated LED illumination light for low-light use and a console lock to secure the drawer when not in use.
