The CL5716iN is a 16-port IP-enabled KVM switcher that integrates a 19 inch LED-backlit LCD, keyboard and touchpad in a 1U Slideaway housing. It provides local and remote access to multiple servers over TCP/IP using a browser-based or Java client. The unit supports both PS/2 and USB console and server connections and can control up to 16 directly connected computers.
Key features include IP-based remote access, support for up to 32 concurrent remote logins, and daisy chaining of up to 15 additional compatible KVM switches to manage up to 256 servers. It supports Panel Array Mode for monitoring multiple server video outputs simultaneously and Message Board chat for remote user collaboration. Mouse DynaSync and Video DynaSync optimize pointer alignment and display resolution respectively.
Performance specifications include local console video up to 1280 x 1024 @75 Hz and remote sessions up to 1920 x 1200 @60 Hz at 24-bit color depth. The unit stores EDID information for optimal display settings and supports USB peripheral sharing via the LCD module USB port. Power consumption varies by voltage configuration with support for universal 100-240 VAC power input.
Connectivity options cover 16 SPHD-17 KVM ports, SPHD-18 external console port, USB Type-A ports for mouse and peripherals, DB-25 daisy chain port, RJ-45 LAN port for IP access, and an IEC C14 power inlet. The switch supports PS/2 and USB keyboard and mouse emulation, hot-plugging of servers, and external authentication via RADIUS LDAP LDAPS and MS Active Directory.
