The CL5708MW is an integrated single-rail Slideaway LCD KVM switch that provides centralized keyboard, video and mouse control across multiple servers. It pairs an integrated 17.3in Full HD LED-backlit display with a full keyboard and touchpad in a 1U rack-mountable sliding housing. The unit supports both PS/2 and USB interfaces to handle mixed-platform environments.
Key features include 8 direct SPHD KVM ports, daisy-chain capability to control up to 256 computers, and a built-in LED illumination light to aid low-light operation. The CL5708MW supports on-screen display (OSD), front-panel pushbuttons and hotkey switching for fast port selection. It also offers two-level password security with one administrator and four user accounts for controlled access.
Performance specifications include support for 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz video on the 17.3in FHD panel, PS/2 and USB keyboard and mouse emulation, and compatibility with Windows, Linux, Mac and Sun. The LCD tilts and rotates for ergonomic viewing and the keyboard and mouse emulation ensure simultaneous booting of multiple computers even when focus is elsewhere. Firmware upgrade and daisy-chain firmware propagation are supported via the included cables.
Connectivity options include 8 x SPHD KVM ports, one SPHD external console port, a front USB Type A peripheral port, DB-25 daisy-chain connectors and RJ-11 firmware upgrade port. The CL5708MW supports standard IEC C14 power input and hot-pluggable connections for minimal downtime. USB peripheral pass-through is available on compatible models when connected with USB cable sets.
