Description
The CE624 is an HDBaseT 2.0 KVM extender kit that provides remote DVI dual display access, USB 2.0 peripheral support, 2-channel PCM audio and RS-232 control. It transmits these signals over a single Cat6/6a cable up to long distances for remote workstation or control-room applications. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver pair designed for reliable long-distance AV distribution.
Key features include HDBaseT 2.0 connectivity, an EDID buffer for consistent display handshake, enhanced bit error detection and correction, and a Long Reach mode switch to extend reach when needed. The unit supports dual DVI outputs at the console and integrated USB 2.0 ports for keyboards, mice and other peripherals. Audio is carried as 2-channel PCM digital audio and RS-232 is available for device control.
Performance specifications include support for resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 100 m in HDBaseT standard mode and Long Reach mode that supports single-view 1920 x 1080 at up to 150 m. Dual-view operation is supported but with lower maximum resolution where required by cable distance constraints. Power consumption is DC 5V at 5.5W for the transmitter and DC 5V at 12.2W for the receiver.
Connectivity includes dual DVI-D ports at the transmitter and receiver, USB Type B at the transmitter and three USB Type A ports at the receiver, RJ-45 unit-to-unit link, DB-9 RS-232 ports and stereo mini jacks for microphone and speaker connections. The extender is HDCP compatible and provides ESD protection rated at contact 8KV and air 15KV. Firmware upgrade and Long Reach mode are accessible via slide switches on each unit.
The CE624 is suited to transportation control centers, medical facilities, industrial warehouses and extended workstations that require remote access to a single host computer. Its single-cable HDBaseT topology reduces cable runs and simplifies installation in distributed AV environments. The integrated PC wakeup function and support for standard USB HID devices streamline remote operation.
