The BTR-800 C3 band base station is a frequency-agile UHF intercom hub designed to support up to four full-duplex beltpacks. It delivers two independent audio channels so operators can select a party line or a private line as required. The unit is engineered for professional audio communications in live production and broadcast environments.
Key features include dual synthesized transmitters with 712 channels each, selectable transmit power up to 100 mW, and backlit LCD status monitoring. The system offers full-duplex simultaneous talk and listen operation and ClearScan channel selection to minimize interference. The base station supports Wireless Talk-Around and Stage Announce functions controlled from beltpacks.
Performance specifications include operation across 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz bands in 18 MHz TX/RX segments, frequency stability of 0.005, and FM modulation with 40 kHz deviation. The system supports a typical 12 hour beltpack battery life using standard alkaline cells and provides 40 mW local headset output into 600 ohms. Radiated harmonics and spurious emissions meet FCC requirements and the stage announce relay is rated at 1 Amp, 24V max.
Connectivity covers adjustable 4-wire input/output levels, auxiliary balanced audio input and output, microphone input sensitivity, and a TNC male antenna connector for TX and RX. The base station uses an IEC power connector and accepts 100-240 VAC 50-60 Hz input. It is compatible with Audiocom, RTS Two-Wire, Clear-Com and other four-wire intercom systems for easy integration.
Typical applications include live event intercom, broadcast production coordination, theater communications, and touring systems. The two audio channels allow separation of production crews and stage staff while maintaining direct full-duplex links for critical communication. The weather and shock resistant beltpack design supports demanding field use.
Installation is straightforward with table or rackmount options and an intuitive backlit LCD for status monitoring and channel tracking. The BTR-800 is built with a rugged chassis and includes a supplied 1/2 wave antenna for immediate deployment. System configuration and integration are simplified through standardized intercom interfaces and adjustable audio levels.
