The BP4000 A4M is a single channel universal beltpack designed for partyline intercom systems and professional audio communications. It provides a compact user interface for talk and listen functions while maintaining compatibility across major wiring formats. The unit balances straightforward operation with features expected in broadcast and live event environments.
Key features include automatic wiring scheme detection that configures the beltpack for RTS, Audiocom or Clear-Com formats. Intelligent power management reduces overall consumption and allows multiple beltpacks to be daisy-chained on a single PS-20 power supply. Enhanced talk button control supports always on, always off or switching modes and provides a blinking incoming call lamp as visual feedback.
Technically the BP4000 A4M operates as a single channel device and supports both dynamic and electret headset microphones. Headset connectivity is available via 4-pin or 5-pin XLR options, while the A4M jack variant provides standard headset interfacing. The current pump circuit monitors cable length against current draw to ensure adequate voltage at each beltpack and enables up to 40 beltpacks to be powered from one PS-20 supply.
Connectivity and compatibility are broad – the unit auto-detects wiring schemes and adapts to RTS, Audiocom and Clear-Com partyline formats. Physical headset connection options include A4M jack and XLR variants to match common professional headsets. Control features such as remote microphone kill and voice-guided factory reset improve integration into existing intercom setups.
Typical applications include broadcast studios, live event production, theatre stage operations and OB trucks where reliable partyline communication is required. The remote mic kill function lets a user mute all beltpacks on the partyline to eliminate accidental open microphones.
